High Represenative meet with Baroness Nosheena Mobarik

House of Lords, London, www.uk.gov.krd. Karwan Jamal Tahir, the Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative to the United Kingdom met with Baroness Nosheena Mubarik, Member of the House of Lords and Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Foreign Affairs to discuss the ongoing developments and the evolving relationship between the KRG and the British House of Lords.

The meeting addressed key regional issues, with a particular focus on security threats facing the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. High Representative raised concerns over continued drone attacks targeting the region, which he described as deliberate efforts to spread fear among civilians, disrupt economic activity, and deter foreign investment. He called on the House of Lords to urge the UK Government to maintain its support for stability and security in the region.

Baroness Mubrik welcomed the dialogue and reaffirmed the House of Lords’ commitment to supporting the constitutional rights and status of the Kurdistan Region. She also outlined several potential avenues for increasing support and engagement with the KRG.
