London, United Kingdom (uk.gov.krd) – The British Expertise International held its annual Networking Reception at the House of Lords hosted by the Rt. Hon Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean on Wednesday 6 June 2018. The reception provided networking opportunities for its members to grow their international businesses.
A welcome speech was addressed by Tracy Smith, the CEO of British Expertise International followed by keynote speeches from the HRH Duke of Gloucester, KG, KT, KP, GCB, GCMG, GCVO, PC John Mahon, Director General for Exports, Department for International Trade, the Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne and the Rt. Hon Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean. The distinguished speakers shared insights on developing export business with the support from UK Export Finance which provides flexible finance and insurance to help British businesses to release their exporting potentials overseas.
Companies across different sectors showed interest in investing and develop their businesses in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) that has potential and great business opportunities, also what make KRI more attractive than the rest of areas is its adaption of free economic policy and its security stability, they said.
Mr Hawre Wahid, Director of Trade and Investment relations and Miss Legaa Firas, Director of Education and Culture represented the KRG UK Representation at this event.
