KRG UK High Representative meets with Lebanese Ambassador to the UK

London, United Kingdom (uk.gov.krd) – The Kurdistan Regional Government High Representative to the UK, Karwan Jamal Tahir was welcomed by the Lebanese Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Rami Mortada for a meeting at the Embassy of Lebanon in London.

The two sides discussed areas of mutual concerns including security, political, cultural and economic developments in both the Kurdistan Region and Lebanon. Mr Tahir underlined the strong collaboration between the Kurdistan Region and Lebanon in the economic, social and cultural spheres. Mr Tahir said: “The Kurdistan Region and Lebanon have a strong bilateral relationship and continued cooperation is vital to pursue common interests and tackle shared challenges.”

H.E. Mortada stressed on the importance of commitment between the KRG and the next government of Iraq in order to deal with a broad range of issues and build a stable and prosperous region. The Ambassador also affirmed the willingness to reinforce this relationship further.
